The Music Heals Campaign” Launches to Transform Songs into Lifesaving Support

Johannesburg, South Africa 26 September 2025. A powerful new initiative is making waves in the South African music and health sectors. The Music Heals Campaign, founded by Thato Emmanuel Mhlanga and Nkululeko Khoza under Lyric Volt Publishing, is uniting artists, music fans, and humanitarian organizations to bring healing where it’s needed most through the universal language of music.

At its heart, the campaign is a collaborative movement where musicians contribute original tracks, and royalties generated from airplay and streaming are donated to support the work of Leuna Pharmaceuticals, a nonprofit organization that manufactures and distributes free medical supplies to children’s homes and nursing facilities across the country.

“Music has always been a vessel for change,” says founder Thato Mhlanga. “With The Music Heals Campaign, every stream, every broadcast becomes a ripple of hope in someone’s life.”

Music With a Mission

The campaign features an ongoing series of EPs contributed by over 7 artists and supported by one signed flagship artist under Lyric Volt. Each EP contains music created with healing, empowerment, and solidarity in mind.

Participating artists are encouraged to sign a commitment agreement, ensuring that royalties from featured tracks are directed toward medical relief efforts. Airplay from partnering radio stations, including SABC affiliated platforms, turns music into medicine—literally.
